All Attributes

The differential amplifier can be used both in single-channel mode to increase the level of low-amplitude signals, and in dual-channel mode to amplify differential signals. Single-channel mode can be used to amplify the signal from the capacitive sensor Cx1 and other low-voltage sensors. The two-channel mode is used for diagnosing DIS ignition systems (together with DIS4/DIS6 sensors) and measuring the voltage drop on power wires.

Design

DifAmp50 differential amlifier design
DifAmp50 differential amlifier signal cable design

The signal cable is connected to the differential amplifier via MIC323, a three-pin connector with a latch (Pin 1 - Output Signal, Pin 2 - "GND", Pin 3 - "+12V"). A soft cable with a high-density braided copper shield to minimize noise pickup so you can get high accuracy of the measured signal. Alligator clips are used for connecting to the automotive battery.
